Martin is a great tutor, his way of teaching really makes the info sink in. I doubt I would be as good as I am without him. he listens and explains things well, not moving on until you have understood what you need to and then is great on 1 to 1 if you are still struggling. a great teacher and a great asset to the centre.

Having been to a couple of the training centres during previouas practical weeks I would say that John has been an excellent Tutor. the manor in which things were both explained and demonstraited was excellent. if things were not understood fully it was re-explained both clearly and concisely. the friendly, calm atmosphere within the centre definitely aided my learning. Sean is a friendly, calm teacher and him and Tom together have surplus knowledge within the welding industry and all welding processes. From having no experience with oxy-acetylene welding I completed all practical assessment within 2 days which I did not expect.

Considering this week was purley based on classroom work, Neal made the week very enjoyable. He managed to take the time to help out each individual where they needed the help. Staff we’re great as usual. Philipa is always very lovely and helpful. the centre manager is extremely friendly always greeting me. The tutor John, seemed by far the best so far, a wealth of knowledge and encouragement! If only he was here before! Being left handed I sometimes have difficulty with the tools, John was happy to help me and show me how to get things done. I have learnt a lot this week. we had stuart for the first 2 days who’s electrical theory was fantastic and he helped me immensely with my maths and formulas he set me homework and explained anything I didn’t understand. john took us for the last three days and his knowledge as a whole was amazing he clearly has a deep understanding of all things electrical both theoretical and practical and is an all round great tutor I would not like to go to another test centre and if I could have john as my tutor on my next visits I would be more than happy, overall a really good week where I learned a lot and for me personally both tutors were a massive help .

Neal is an extremely talented teacher dealing with one of the hardest subjects – maths and physics. Having been out of the classroom for over 35 years, I was simply amazed how he managed to not only instill a level of enthusiasm and interest into a subject I had always treated as ‘boring’ but ultimately how that manifested into my exam result – a merit. Our Tutor (Paul Agnew) is very friendly and knowledgeable regarding all the topics we have studied. He displays professionalism and makes our study environment comfortable and easy to learn. He explains the task very well and if we struggle at first attempt he endeavours to rectify things until it is full comprehended or completed in the right manner. The centre is well equipped and has many useful facilities such as clean toilets, spacious canteen area, etc. Overall I would definitely recommended this course to family and friends.

This week has been very good, Paul has shown us ways how to do things in the ‘real’ plumbing world. The group was spilt into 2 which meant we could get on and do our own this as everybody works at different speeds. I mananged to do all the practical very quick. I have to commend Pauls style and manner of delivery and supervision of the assessments undertaken, he put me in a very relaxed frame of mind which allowed me to think clearley with out feeling under pressure which allowed me to actually really enjoy this week and deliver a good standard of work throughout the week. paul brock is a fantastic tutor very helpful when help was needed i failed one exam not because of the tutor i rushed it as i needed to use the toilet facilities but when i did fail paul supplied me with the relevant material for revision which was most helpful and i passed the resit over all i am very happy with all of the centres staff and how the whole thing is organised i am looking forward to coming back for the level 3 and renewables and gas part very happy see you all soon

had a replacement tutor douglas, he was excellent, friendly and had vast knowledge of the field that we are studying. An excellent tutor understanding and helpful if we were stuck or lacked the knowledge to press forward.would travel further distance if I could have douglas as a tutor again and would recomemend doug to others. douglas has helped me get to grips with electricity and i will leave knowing that it was doug that was instrumental in that. thankyou for providing douglas.

I am extremely satisfied with the outcomes achieved in this weeks ( 5 ) training.I thought the tutor Ray was extremely professional,helpfull and explained things in a way,that was non patronising and helped me personally, to think about certain things in a more logical way.Sometimes when on site,you pick up bad habits and certain information you are told,by other electricians isnt always correct or technically proven.This has been proven this week especially,with practical assessments.I personally have found this week very beneficial,in reeducating myself out of old intrenched,misleading and inpractical skills and knowledge,I have picked up from other electricians over the years.

Overall I was impressed with my first 2 weeks practical. The centre was good and the tutors and staff were very friendly. Vince Doyle made it a comfortable environment to learn in and I feel I have learnt a lot. Gary Bailey was brilliant in helping when Vince wasn’t available and helped me a lot with practicing my soldering which I had struggled with but now feel very confident.
